Inaugural Theme and Preliminary Schedule

Yesterday the Presidential Inaugural Committee announced a theme for President-elect Obama’s inauguration. The theme, “Restoring America’s Promise,“ highlights the new administration’s mission to restore opportunity and possibility for all Americans and to rebuild America’s role as a beacon of hope around the globe.

We also introduced a preliminary schedule for the inaugural ceremonies. In keeping with the theme, the schedule is all about public participation. So far on the calendar:
